
OVERVIEW
The Villarreal Nebraska Academy Groguet-TEAM Program provides training and game training opportunities for all skill levels U9-U10. The training focuses on the individual development of well-rounded soccer players with a proven curriculum based on Villarreal C.F. international training methods. This program provides an opportunity to learn the basic skills associated with Villarreal Nebraska Academy in an team environment.
Developmental Stages and Age Appropriate Focus:
1. Motor Skill Development, Ages 0-6
2. Fundamental Stage, Ages 6-9
3. Learning to Train, Ages 8-12
4. Training to Train, Ages 11-16
5. Training to Compete, Ages 15-18
6. Training to Win, Ages 17+
7. Retirement
Age when players begin to learn from their mistakes, Ages 9-11
Players and families should understand that this program is to be part of a team structure, training together with a coach. Therefore, commitment and attendance should reflect what it means to be a team member. Yellows-TEAM players will be given the opportunity to play in competitions once teams are confirmed and competitions get planned. No tryouts required.
TRYOUTS
There are no tryouts associated with this program. Players independently register.
COACHING
Coaching is provided by Villarreal Nebraska Academy coaches who have studied and understand the coaching curriculum. Training is directed by DOC Jorge Sambataro and a club program coordinator. If a parent is interested in coaching and learning the curriculum please

UNIFORMS
Players will need to purchase a Groguet-TEAM Program uniform kit. $64.48 plus shipping. Primary Yellow Kit (Jersey, Shorts, Socks) and Secondary Black Jersey/Training Shirt. Returning Groguet-TEAM players need only to purchase a new Primary Yellow Jersey for $21.39
Club Warm-Up Kit and Club Backpack are optional items that can be ordered.
Other optional items to consider purchasing are: the long sleeve cold-weather undershirt, the long cold-weather pant, a black beanie cap and black gloves.
EQUIPMENTGroguet-TEAM players should wear their Secondary Black Jersey/Training Shirt to training, Black athletic shorts, shin guards covered by black socks, and indoor soccer shoes or tennis shoes (NO CLEATS INDOOR). When outdoor for training and games, cleats are recommended but other shoes are acceptable at this level. When indoor at Nebraska Sports Center players do NOT need to bring a soccer ball. When outdoor for training or games players need to bring a properly inflated size 3 or size 4 soccer ball.
COMMITMENT LEVEL and COMMUNICATION
Groguet-TEAM players are encouraged to participate in other athletic, academic, and extracurricular activities, but should try to attend training and competitions as often as possible.
Players and families should understand that this program is to be part of a team structure. Therefore, commitment and attendance should reflect what it means to be a team member. Attendance at games should be communicated to the team manager and team coach ASAP so player adjustments for games can be made, this is extremely important.
