A lot of attention here in Vila-real is turning to the first team’s match tonight against Espanyol in the first leg of their last-16 Copa del Rey tie. Hopefully we’ll put ourselves in a good position before we head to Catalonia next week for the second leg. Kick-off is at 8:30pm CET so tune in if you can.

Away from the first team, there has been a lot of great international news too, with four academy players – two girls and two boys - being called up by Spain at youth level.
Irene Miguélez has been called up by Spain U16s, while Nerea Vicente has been called up by the U17s.
And regarding the boys, Jordi Ortega has been called by the U16s, while Nacho Díaz has been called up the the U19s.
