Villarreal CF round-up 10.01.19

Yesterday’s Copa del Rey game didn’t let us down, with the team fighting until the last minute, to earn a 2-2 draw against Espanyol. That result means Luis García is still unbeaten as Villarreal first-team manager, while the tie is still extremely evenly balanced heading into the second leg of the round-of-16 match next week.

History tells us that Villarreal have never lost a knockout tie when they have gone into the second leg with the match at 2-2, so fingers crossed!
