THE U19S ARE NAMED CHAMPIONS

The Yellows have taken the División de Honor Group 7 title for the ninth time after the decision taken by the RFEF

Villarreal CF U19s (Juvenil A) have been crowned champions of the División de Honor Group 7 after the Royal Spanish Football Federation (Real Federación Española de Fútbol - RFEF) took the decision to end the competition due to the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic. Miguel Ángel Tena's side were top of the table with 61 points from 25 league games. The U19s end the season early, but with impressive stats. They had 19 wins, four draws and only tasted two defeats.

Furthermore, they were the top-scoring team with 67 goals, and the team to concede the third fewest goals, letting in just 19. In terms of goalscoring, Álex Fores was important, with the striker scoring 23 goals this season.

With this new title, Villarreal CF's U19s now have nine league titles since the creation of the División de Honor Group 7, which has been in place for 14 seasons. They are the team who have lifted the title the most, followed by Valencia CF, with four. It is also worth noting that the Yellows have been champions in five of the last six seasons.

Finally, due to security and health issues, neither the Copa de Campeones nor the Copa del Rey will be played at U19 level this season. The UEFA Youth League representative will be picked from the team with the best coefficient.
