updated policies as of May 2019.

As advised by professionals: In an unknown situation it is best not to change any policies, but to remain as consistent as possible.
Policies remain in place even during the COVID-19 situation:

The situation our entire world is in, is not something any of us ever expected. As this is a quickly moving situation, we are adjusting and working as hard as possible to continue to provide for our members.

Training is ongoing and the uninterrupted delivery of curriculum is being offered in 4 different digital formats. We plan to begin in-person training with the previously published schedule as soon as it is safe to 'return-to-play.' Please see VNA Member Google Classroom, Villarreal Nebraska Academy Channel on YouTube, Zoom Training Sessions, and hard-copy Homework packets which can be found on our Member Resources Homework page. If you need help getting connected to theses services let us know ASAP by email.

At this time, the soccer 'competitions' part of the season, is simply under suspension and all leagues are expecting to begin competitions once it is safe to do so. All registrations to the leagues, have previously been made for the players and their teams. These leagues are still expecting to have a season to deliver competitions to players. Obviously, if that suspension/delay changes to a cancellation that is another situation and at that time we will address that.

As advised by multiple governing bodies:
"Virtually all of our league partners have told us they are intent on completing their spring seasons, even though that might mean playing league games into July. We know that many clubs are being asked about refunds by concerned parents. We believe until a return-to-play date is established, and leagues agree on what will happen with the spring season, discussion of refunds is premature." They also strongly believe when faced with difficult times our sport can come out of this stronger than ever. "We do that by not giving in to our fears. By remaining determined and hopeful. By never losing sight of the fact that better days are ahead if we remain strong. Most of all, we do it by remembering that we are all bound together, and that working together we can meet any challenge."

Again, we will continue to deliver curriculum and training to players during this in-person suspension and will plan to resume in-person training as a return-to-play is established. We have all of you at our foremost thoughts and concerns and want to be a light to our players. Let's be that light and that hope together.

We continue to expect to deliver to our members what we have planned, with scheduling adjustments as needed, based on what US Soccer, USSSA, USYS and other governing bodies, we are a member of, advise us and tell us to plan for.

Thank you for your patience and love to all!
